Bali Blog

Well I have just spent the most wonderful 17 days in Bali my first visit and I loved it. I went with friends firstly for the Bali spirit festival held every March in Ubud. It is a Yogis place with wall to wall classes and also Readers and Healers and fabulous food and great music. For the first time in a long time I did nothing but sit and watch and join in a couple of talks on meditation practice and an attunement to a healing practice and I had my first proper tarot card reading. I won’t go into detail about that as it’s not the point...

Creativity 7 The area of Creativity sits in the West segment of your home and has great focus on children, your own if you have them or children that are in your life. It is also about being creative in other areas of your life, being able to create and being in tune with and able to express creativity in any form. Are you trying to have children but its not happening? Do you find you are worrying excessively about your children? Are you feeling you are failing as a parent or carer? Have you a talent or artistic flare that is thwarted? Do you...

My Feng Shui Garden

Feng Shui-ing your garden can be easy and fun and you don’t have to do the whole garden!  I have two gardens, a small one around my house and a big one behind my barn – so its quite a lot to manage in terms of doing the Feng Shui on all of it.  So I decided to work on a couple of smaller areas to create Feng Shui beauty.  In my large garden I focused on one square and applied the Elemental principles and symbolism of Feng Shui divided in to the 9 squares of the Bagua, the template of the life zones represented in the square.  My notes of what...

Friends

I am blessed with having wonderful friends who have seen me through the good and the unhappy times of my life. Some have been with me for many years and I have found new friends along the way. Its not just having their support but also giving it that makes friendships a very special part of my life. Are there good and helpful people in your life who are there for you when you need them? Are you feeling lonely and alone? Do you feel your friends are not supportive? Have you been feeling let down by friends? Are you finding it hard to meet...

Health and Well Being

It’s time to give you some tips on how to enhance your health and well being area of your home, it sits right in the centre and as the saying goes, if you dont have your health you dont have anything.  Its not entirely true of course as you will always have your soul, your higher self and even in poor health people achieve great things.  This was born out when I attended the Back2Health Conference in Bristol on 11th and 12th April 2013,  just look at the line up of speakers, Doctors, Holistic Practitioners, Healers, Helpers and most...

In harmony with Nature

In harmony with Nature

For a long time I have wanted to visit the Giant’s Causeway and then the opportunity came up for me to come for a week to Northern Ireland and stay in Enniskillen, which is surrounded by lovely lakes. Only two and half hours from the Giant’s Causeway, it was perfect timing to visit. The power of the place was noticeable and apart from seeing the beauty of the rock formations, I sensed that I was surrounded by all the elements that we focus on in Feng Shui to live in harmony with our environment. The stone represented the Earth, the sea the...

Rooting your Family Tree

This area of the Feng Shui bagua relates to your ancestry, your tribe, your past. A knowing of where you have come from. A feeling of belonging and acceptance and mutual respect from your family. The quality of your relationship with parental figures. Do you feel you lacked a supportive loving nurturing childhood? Are there issues from your past affecting how you live your life now? Are you thwarted or supported by your upbringing? Are there issues relating to abuse that need resolving now. The Family area is also referred to as ‘elders’ or...

Cleansing in the Cotswold’s

I love the Cotswold’s,  but I hadn’t been there for many years, and then the opportunity came to visit my friend Natasha who had bought a beautiful old cottage in a stunning village. Our friend Dawn was coming too and we were going to do an atmospheric cleanse to purify the energy in her new home and infuse it with her intentions. The three of us studied Feng Shui together and we are founders of the Barefoot Community more about that later. When we get together the energy is just magical, there is so much laughter and I swear it is so good...
